Kelsey and Andrew were full of life, laughter, and personality, and their wedding was a wonderful reflection of who they are as a couple.
From the photography perspective, Kelsey and Andrew were exactly the kind of couple who made the photo-shoot both relaxed and creative. They were easygoing and natural, but at the same time, they were incredibly receptive to our direction and willing to try different ideas.
That combination allowed us to create a beautiful balance between genuine, unscripted moments and more intentionally composed portraits. They trusted us, had fun with the process, and never took themselves too seriously — which made the photo-shoot feel like another enjoyable part of their wedding celebration.
Their Riverside Receptions wedding was photographed by two photographers, allowing us to work from different angles and perspectives throughout the day. Having two photographers gave us the opportunity to capture the major moments while also documenting the reactions, interactions, and smaller details happening around Kelsey and Andrew. It also allowed us to approach portraits and important moments from different visual perspectives, creating a more complete and varied wedding gallery.
Riverside Receptions provided a beautiful setting for their summer wedding photography.
The warm brown brick exterior created a strong and timeless backdrop, while the Fox River, outdoor walking path, and distinctive interior architecture gave us additional locations for portraits and candid photographs. The combination of the venue's warm atmosphere and the summer surroundings allowed us to create images with a variety of moods while remaining connected to the character of the location.
Kelsey and Andrew’s wedding day was ultimately a beautiful combination of genuine emotion, laughter, beautiful surroundings, and a couple who knew how to have a great time. Their willingness to trust the photography process allowed us to create images that feel natural, energetic, and personal to them — a true reflection of their Riverside Receptions wedding in Geneva, Illinois.
