Emily and Luke’s early August wedding at Loft Lucia was the kind of celebration that felt effortlessly Chicago from beginning to end. With just under 80 guests and a mid-sized bridal party, the day carried an intimate energy while still embracing the vibrant atmosphere of the city they love so much.

From getting ready at Emily’s nearby apartment to celebrating surrounded by Chicago’s iconic skyline and industrial architecture, every part of the day reflected their connection to the Windy City.

The weather brought passing rain throughout the day, leading much of the photography indoors inside Loft Lucia’s warm brick interiors and industrial-inspired spaces. The venue’s rich brown tones and textured walls created a timeless, moody backdrop that perfectly complemented the atmosphere of the celebration. And whenever the rain paused, we stepped outside for portraits among the city streets and skyline views — capturing the unmistakable feeling of a true Chicago wedding day.
