There are venues that photograph beautifully, and then there are venues that seem to invite you to create. The Grove Redfield Estate in Glenview, Illinois is one of those very special places. With its beautiful historic architecture, lush greenery, mature trees, open grounds, and countless little corners to explore, it offers a wonderful variety of settings throughout the property—and it remains one of the venues we truly love returning to.

On June 27, 2026, Stephanie and Tyler celebrated their wedding at Redfield Estate, bringing with them an incredible amount of youthful energy, spontaneity, and joy. From the very beginning, it was clear that this was going to be a wedding where we could let the personalities of the couple lead the photographs. Bogdan embraced that energy completely. Their portrait session was filled with movement—running across the grounds, spinning, piggyback rides, kisses tucked away in quiet corners of the property, and plenty of genuine moments in between.
Rather than simply placing the couple in front of a beautiful background, we wanted the photographs to feel like Stephanie and Tyler: playful, connected, young, energetic, and completely in love.
One of the things we always recommend to our couples is allowing enough time in the wedding-day schedule for a full photography session. Your wedding day happens once. It cannot be recreated, paused, or scheduled for another day. The time you intentionally give your photographers is what allows us to move beyond simply documenting what happens and gives us the opportunity to create.
When a photographer has the necessary time, there is room to look for better light, explore different areas of the venue, try different perspectives, create movement, and use the experience and equipment we bring to the wedding to their full potential.
Some of the strongest images from a wedding day are often created during those moments when the schedule allows us to slow down and simply photograph the couple without rushing to the next event.
For Stephanie and Tyler, that time made all the difference. Redfield Estate gave us an extraordinary canvas, and their personalities gave us the inspiration to use it.
We are also especially grateful for our relationship with the team at The Grove Redfield Estate. This venue holds a very special place in our work, and every time we return, we find another reason to appreciate its grounds, architecture, and the people who make weddings there so enjoyable to photograph.
Stephanie and Tyler's gallery has now been completed and delivered, and we are thrilled to share a glimpse into their beautiful June wedding. And we hope to create many more wedding galleries at Redfield Estate in the coming years—and to continue discovering new ways to photograph this truly remarkable location.
