Golden leaves, winding trails, and soft afternoon sunlight created an almost dreamlike setting for Ashley and Ryan’s engagement session at River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook. The trees were glowing with the warm colors of autumn, while a beautiful carpet of fallen leaves covered the ground, making every frame feel like a scene from a fairy tale.

And then there was Ashley and Ryan — playful, joyful, and completely themselves. Their personalities kept us on our toes throughout the session, with plenty of laughter, spontaneous moments, and genuine affection along the way. Their contagious smiles brought an incredible energy to the photographs and made every image shine.

With the rich fall foliage surrounding them and that soft golden light filtering through the trees, the combination was simply perfect. The result is a collection of romantic and joyful photographs that feel dreamy, colorful, and almost unreal — a beautiful reflection of two people who clearly love having fun together.
