Amanda and Jacob’s wedding at The BRIX on the Fox in Carpentersville, Illinois, was a celebration shaped by distance, dedication, and careful planning. With Jacob serving in the military and stationed in Hawaii, much of the wedding preparation was coordinated remotely. Despite the time difference and physical distance, we were able to connect online throughout the planning process and design a photography timeline that ensured every meaningful moment of the day could be captured with intention and clarity.
From the very beginning, the focus was on building a smooth and thoughtful flow for the wedding day from a photographer’s perspective.
This allowed us to anticipate key moments, structure the creative portrait time, and ensure that both the emotional and artistic elements of the day were fully documented without interruption.
On the wedding day, our team consisted of two photographers, Bogdan and Elena, along with cinematographer FaFa. Working together, we were able to document the celebration from multiple perspectives, blending cinematic movement with still imagery to create a rich and layered visual story. The result was a collection of photographs and film sequences that reflect not only how the day looked, but how it felt.
One of the most memorable elements of the day was Amber’s joyful presence. With a natural sense of curiosity and openness, she followed the flow of the crew throughout the day, gently encouraging and guiding Jacob into lighthearted moments that brought out genuine laughter and emotion. These unscripted interactions added warmth and authenticity to the visual story, reminding everyone that the best images often come from simply embracing the moment.
The BRIX on the Fox provided the perfect backdrop for this celebration, with its industrial textures, warm tones, and cinematic atmosphere enhancing every frame.
